Where cells multiply rapidly, eldership and deaconship remain hard to attain, their scriptural character standards being clearly revealed in holy writ.

Where cells multiply rapidly, anyone who will follow directions in forming and leading new cells may be eligible for training, even if not for official recognition.

So there is a seeker, not yet baptized, who calls his peers to come learn about Jesus. Whilst they sit around sipping grog, he repeats the bible story he learned, and they sing a new song together in praise of Jesus.

That seeker fails to meet all character tests, and his gathering would never qualify as a cell in my church. Yet, he is obeying Jesus to the extent of his understanding.

Sometimes, Western "nice-guy" standards hinder the advance of the Kingdom. (Did I fail to mention that in that seeker's culture, punctuality is viewed as a silly, opportunistic trick?)
