FAQ
When will the "Day with Joel and Mario" take place?
This day will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (dinner with Joel and Mario following).
What were some of the comments from last year's event?
Pastors and leaders who attended last year's event said:
- "Much better than a "conference"
- "I loved the one-on-one time with the leaders -this needs to stay!"
- "Enjoyed first-hand experiences and teaching by people with a high level of expertise"
- "Excellent! Very glad I came; Glad to network with other cell leaders."
What is the entrance fee?
The cost is $200.00 per person and $800.00 for five people. If you bring a team of five, the fifth person comes free.
What will I receive from this event?
You'll experience lots of personal interaction with Joel, Mario, and the JCG team, creative group dynamics, and loads of "take-home" material in a CD, etc.
Where will the event be held?
We will hold the event at the Hampton Inn: http://www.hamptoninnoceanfront.com/. If you call Hampton Inn and mention the name Joel Comiskey Group, you'll receive a room for $89.00 per night (an excellent rate for a beachfront hotel).
Who will receive the proceeds from these events?
All monies will go to the JCG fund, a non-profit ministry focused on resourcing the worldwide cell church.
How do I pay for the event?
You can pay online HERE (press 'donate' button), by check, or at the event itself.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. Refunds are available until February 01, 2010
What is the theme of the conference?
We decided to leave the theme open-ended until we found out exactly who was coming. In other words, we wanted to build the theme on the needs of those who are coming. We also realized that the interaction, coaching, CD, videos were far more important than one theme.
Will the schedule be similar to last year's schedule?
Yes, we will follow last year's schedule very closely, which was:
- 9 a.m.: greetings, introductions, and special dynamic (Rob Campbell)
- Attendees from same church in a group and they participate in a fast fire update which has four categories-
- Biggest Success
- Biggest Aha's
- What's Working
- Greatest Challenge
- This is presented to them on a big piece of paper and they fill it out. However, to make it more fun-- they cannot use words only symbols, drawings of people, church building, cell meeting, etc.
- Each church then gets three minutes or so to share the four things w/ all attendees. This immediately helps everyone know what is happening w/ their church family.
- 9:45 a.m.: presentation on Myths in the cell church (Joel Comiskey)
- 10:20-10:25 a.m.: divide into three or four groups for 20-25 minutes (Rob Campbell)
