Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance (Ps. 33:12).
Of the early days of our nation it may be said, as of the creation of the world, “In the beginning, God.†And the most real and vital danger to our country is that we should depart from God in our national life and cease to own Him as Ruler. This applies to ALL nations!
- True patriotism remembers that “righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.â€
- The true patriots are not the politicians who talk loudly about the flag and then rob the storehouses of the nation. Those citizens are the real patriots who quietly and faithfully do their duty to the state and their fellow men, holding in reverence the laws and institutions of the land.
- We should serve our nation for the kingdom’s sake, and serve the kingdom for the nation’s sake.
- Love of country is born of God. Christians have always been patriots. Jesus loved His nation well enough to die for it. We are only fulfilling the law of the Lord when we give our country the deep, intelligent, and unswerving devotion of our hearts. The traitor to his nation is a traitor to God. (unless that nation is a traitor to God)
- Patriotism is a sentiment that strikes down into the depths of a person’s nature. It belongs to the inner recesses of the soul. It has to do with the most sacred sentiments. Men have ever linked it with the two other holy passions—love of family, and love of God. Thoughtful persons involuntarily associate patriotism with religion. In our own country this truth has been exemplified by the fact that many of the greatest patriots of our national history have been unequivocally Christian.
May God’s blessing continue upon the USA and those nations “whose God is the Lordâ€!

Bienaventurada la nación cuyo Dios es el Señor, y el pueblo que él escogió como heredad para s (Sal. 33:12).
En los primeros das de nuestra nación se puede decir, a partir de la creación del mundo, “En el principio Dios.” Y el peligro más real y vital para nuestro pas es que debemos partir de Dios en nuestra vida nacional y dejar de lo propio como gobernante. Esto se aplica a todas las Naciones!
1. El verdadero patriotismo recuerda que “la justicia engrandece a la nación, mas el pecado es afrenta de las naciones.”
2. Los verdaderos patriotas no son los polticos que hablan en voz alta sobre la bandera y luego roban los tesoros de la nación. Los ciudadanos son los verdaderos patriotas que con humildad y fidelidad hacen su deber para el Estado y sus semejantes, sosteniendo con reverencia las leyes y las instituciones de la tierra.
3. Debemos servir a nuestra nación por el bien del reino, y servir al reino por el bien del pas.
4. El Amor a la patria es nacido de Dios. Los cristianos siempre han sido patriotas. Jesús amaba a su nación lo suficientemente bien como para morir por ella. Sólo estamos cumpliendo la ley del Señor, cuando le damos nuestro pas, la profunda inteligencia, y la devoción inquebrantable de nuestros corazones. El traidor a su nación es un traidor a Dios. (a menos que esa nación sea un traidor a Dios)
5. El patriotismo es un sentimiento que afecta a las profundidades de la naturaleza de una persona. Pertenece a lo más profundo del alma. Tiene que ver con los sentimientos más sagrados. Los hombres tienen alguna vez lo relacionado con las dos pasiones-el amor de la familia, y el amor de Dios. Las personas reflexivas involuntariamente asocian patriotismo con la religión. En nuestro pas es verdad ha quedado demostrada, por el hecho de que muchos de los más grandes patriotas de nuestra historia nacional, han sido inequvocamente cristianos.
La bendición de Dios puede continuar en los EE.UU. y las naciones “cuyo Dios es el Señor”!
