What happens if you cut the leg off of a starfish? You get two starfish, because the severed leg grows into a new complete creature.
What happens if you cut the leg off of an elephant? You have a three-legged elephant.
Each cell of the starfish contains all the DNA necessary to grow a new starfish, while that is not the case for an elephant.
A healthy cell group will contain all the DNA needed to grow into a healthy church: evangelism, discipleship, community, worship, mutual ministry.
So a church with healthy cells has tremendous missionary potential, because cell group members can be transplanted into another setting and know how to do the essentials of kingdom life which can blossom into a church.
