They are known by many names. Some call them cell lessons, cell agendas but we call them cell edification sheets. Our whole desire and our gauge for a successful evening at Life Group (Cell) is whether people walk away edified or built up. All four elements listed below are equally important in edification as far as we are concerned. So we ask all our groups to incorporate these elements in their gatherings:
• Us to Each Other (Sharing Lives) – Anything that gets people to be involved in each other’s lives and interacting with each other. This includes items like Ice Breaker, sharing burdens, praying and ministering to each other.
• Us to God (Sharing Worship) – This includes anything that focuses attention and gets people interacting with God. This includes things like praise and thanksgiving, worship through song, reading of Scripture, Lord’s Supper.
• God to Us (Sharing the Word) – This is the time of interacting with God’s Word and making application to our lives. This should not simply be a teaching time but a time for all to interact with God’s Word for life change.
• Us to the World (Sharing Christ) – This is a focus on local and world mission emphasis as well as a time when we share about our personal evangelism efforts and praying for those who need Christ.
This week we are focused on the Word section or God to Us. Our goal in this section is not bible study. When cells focus on bible study, they focus on information. Cell groups have a completely different focus when it comes to the Word. The goal of facilitation is not to discuss what the Bible says or even what the Bible means, (although a few questions to draw this out are fine,) but what God is saying through His Word to the individuals in that cell.
Most people “know” more bible information than they practice. Ultimately if a time in the Word does not lead to implementation of truth, then as far as I’m concerned we have missed the mark. The Cell is the place where people apply the Word to their lives.
When I design questions for our group I’m asking myself, “What difference will this make in their lives tomorrow?” Some good questions that can always be asked are, “How is God speaking to you in this passage and what do you need to do as a result?” “What is your take-away from this passage?” “What step do you need to take to grow in this area?” Design questions that give them the opportunity to “put their heart on the table” so to speak.

La aplicación es más importante que la información

Se les conoce por muchos nombres. Algunos los llaman lecciones celular, agendas celular, pero nosotros las llamamos hojas de edificación celular. Nuestro único deseo y nuestro indicador de éxito en una noche en la vida grupal (celular) es si las personas se van edificadas o construidas. Los cuatro elementos que se enumeran a continuación son igualmente importantes en la edificación por lo que nos preocupa. As que les pedimos a todos nuestros grupos que incorporen estos elementos en sus reuniones:
• Somos el uno para al otro (Compartiendo Vidas) – Todo lo que hace que la gente pueda participar en la vida del otro y de interactuar unos con otros. Esto incluye artculos como para romper el hielo, la carga de compartir, orar y ministrar a los demás.
• Nosotros a Dios (adoración compartida) – Esto incluye cualquier cosa que centra la atención y hace que la gente interactúe con Dios. Esto incluye cosas como la alabanza y acción de gracias, adoración a través del canto, la lectura de la Escritura, y la Cena del Señor.
• Dios con nosotros (Compartiendo la Palabra) – Este es el momento de interactuar con la Palabra de Dios y lograr una aplicación a nuestras vidas. Esto no debera ser simplemente un tiempo de enseñanza, sino un tiempo para que todos puedan interactuar con la Palabra de Dios para cambiar la vida.
• Somos el Mundo (Compartiendo a Cristo) – Este es un enfoque en el énfasis de la misión local y mundial, as como en un momento compartimos acerca de nuestros esfuerzos de evangelismo personal y orando por aquellos que necesitan a Cristo.
Esta semana nos centramos en la sección de la palabra de Dios con nosotros. Nuestro objetivo en esta sección no es un estudio de la Biblia. Cuando las células se centran en el estudio de la Biblia, se centran en la información. Los grupos de células tienen un enfoque completamente diferente cuando se trata de la Palabra. El objetivo de la mediación no es para hablar de lo que dice la Biblia, o incluso lo que la Biblia quiere decir, (aunque un par de preguntas para sacar esto está bien), y lo que Dios dice a través de Su Palabra a las personas en la célula.
La mayora de la gente “sabe” más información de la Biblia de la que ellos practican. En última instancia, si el tiempo en la Palabra no lleva a la aplicación de la verdad, entonces como lo que a m concierne, ha errado el blanco. La célula es el lugar donde la gente aplica la Palabra de Dios a sus vidas.
Cuando diseño las preguntas de nuestro grupo me pregunto, “¿Qué diferencia hará esto en sus vidas mañana?” Algunas buenas preguntas que siempre me hago son, “¿Cómo es que Dios te habla en este pasaje y qué es lo que tiene que hacer como resultado de ello?” “¿Cuál es su comida para llevar de este pasaje?” “¿Qué paso necesito tomar para crecer en esta área?” preguntas designadas para que den la oportunidad de “poner su corazón sobre la mesa”, por as decirlo.
