The cell group is a community. This is where life happens together with other believers who love Jesus Christ and are grateful for His salvation. Maturing in relationship with Jesus is accelerated as we grow with the group; we are not designed to be alone! (Genesis 2:18)
However, we must proceed beyond meeting our own needs or simply satisfying ourselves in the cell group. Jesus said we should reproduce additional followers of Himself in order to reach maturity ourselves. In every cell group there will be those who are older, more mature in Christ than others. Each group should also have new believers who will emulate the more mature members of Christ’s body until they too grow up “into the head even Christ.†(Ephesians 4:15)
Once a believer matures substantially, the others in the group will endorse the growth that has occurred and begin praying to launch this member as a new cell group leader. As this new leader attracts new converts, she/he becomes the one to emulate and the cycle continues. As Paul stated, “Follow me as I follow Christ.†(1 Corinthians 11:1)
Let me finish by stating that we are not fully discipled UNTIL we have produced another disciple. We will not feel complete in our walk with Jesus, that is, we will sense a lack within ourselves, until we have discipled someone else to be like Jesus. You may feel that way now without having realized that this was the missing component. Go ahead then and do what HE said, “go, make disciples†and you will complete your maturity.

Ciclo de los Discpulos

El grupo celular es una comunidad. Aqu es donde sucede la vida, junto con otros creyentes que aman a Jesucristo y están agradecidos por su salvación. La crianza en relación con Jesús se acelera a medida que crecemos con el grupo, ¡nosotros no estamos diseñados para estar a solas! (Génesis 2:18)
Sin embargo, debemos avanzar más allá de satisfacer nuestras propias necesidades o, simplemente, satisfacernos en el grupo celular. Jesús dijo que debemos reproducir seguidores adicionales de s mismo para llegar a la madurez de nosotros mismos. En cada grupo celular, hay aquellos que son mayores, más maduros en Cristo que otros. Cada grupo debe tener también a los nuevos creyentes que emulan a los miembros más maduros del cuerpo de Cristo hasta que también crecen “en la cabeza es Cristo.” (Efesios 4:15)
Una vez que un creyente madura sustancialmente, los otros miembros del grupo apoyan el crecimiento que ha ocurrido y comienzan a orar para poner en marcha este miembro como lder de célula en un nuevo grupo. Como este nuevo lder atrae a los nuevos convertidos, él / ella se convierte en el que emula y el ciclo continúa. Como Pablo dijo, “Sgueme que yo sigo a Cristo.” (1 Corintios 11:1)
Permtanme terminar diciendo que no estamos totalmente discipulando, hasta que no hayamos producido otro discpulo. No se sentirá completo en nuestro caminar con Jesús, es decir, vamos a sentir una falta dentro de nosotros mismos, hasta que hemos discipulado a alguien más para ser como Jesús. Usted puede sentir de esa manera, sin haber dado cuenta de que este fue el componente que falta. Adelante, pues, y haz lo que dijo, “ir, hacer discpulos” y esto completara su madurez.
