“You cannot lead where you will not go, you cannot teach what you do not know.†English Maxim (I apologize; this rhymes in English, but may not translate well to other languages).
Discipleship and apprenticeship have similar connotations; one person is more experienced in the pursuit than the other. We must be certain that leaders are out front of those they lead. When a follower/disciple/apprentice surpasses the leader, they become the teacher and trainer for others. It’s fairly simple, don’t you agree? Barnabas, Paul, Timothy, Silas, the 12 Apostles, and the list reaches to our generation, of those who have been mentored, taught, trained and raised to leadership in the Body of Christ. It is likely that you, our readers, are more apt to be leaders than those around you. (Another maxim: Readers are Leaders, and Leaders are Readers)
In cell-based, cell-driven ministry, the leaders come from within the cells. Won to Christ, in a cell, lead a cell, multiply the cell, supervise other cell leaders and become the lead pastor of a group of cells. Much like growing oak trees (or any long-term, strong plant), we must be consistent and patient to see the fruit of our advancement. The moment do not attend to the responsibilities at any given level of leadership, you will begin to move backward through the steps.
In association with others, your character and calling will be observable to those around you. This provides safety and personal coaching within the community that will keep you moving forward!! Stay connected to other leaders for encouragement in your calling!
Having begun with a maxim I’ll close with this one; You cannot sell, out of an empty wagon.

Lderes juntos

“No puedes liderar donde tu no puedes ir, no puedes enseñar lo que no sabes”. Inglés Maxim (pido disculpas; esto rima en Inglés, pero puede que no se traduzca bien a otros idiomas).
El discipulado y el aprendizaje tienen connotaciones similares, una persona tiene más experiencia en la búsqueda que otra. Debemos estar seguros de que los lderes están en el frente de aquellos que lideran. Cuando un seguidor/discpulo/aprendiz supera al lder, ellos se convierten en el maestro y entrenador de los demás. Es bastante simple, ¿estas de acuerdo? Bernabé, Pablo, Timoteo, Silas, los 12 apóstoles, y la lista llega a nuestra generación, de aquellos que han sido mentores, enseñados, entrenados y criados con el liderazgo en el Cuerpo de Cristo. Es probable que ustedes, nuestros lectores, sean más propensos a ser lderes que los que te rodean. (Otra maxim: Los lectores son lderes y los lderes son lectores)
En base de células, la célula impulsada por el ministerio, los lderes vienen de dentro de las células. Ganado para Cristo, en una célula, liderar una célula, multiplicar una célula, supervisar a otros lderes de células y convertirse en el pastor principal de un grupo de células. Al igual que el cultivo de árboles de roble (o cualquier otro árbol fuerte de crecimiento a largo plazo), debemos ser consistentes y paciente para ver el fruto de nuestro avance. En el momento no prestan atención a las responsabilidades en cualquier nivel de liderazgo, usted comenzará a moverse hacia atrás a través de los pasos.

While I’m happy for you if this is the way your ministry has gone, in my experience what you describe applies only to the tiny minority of cases—if it’s even a reality at all. Many others, after years of effort have a path more like: Won to Christ, in a cell, lead a cell… stumble, stagger, watch the cell fizzle. Come back again and see similar “fruit of our advancement†the next time.
I thus find your blithe “It’s fairly simple, don’t you agree?†tone fairly discouraging, since for me it hasn’t been fairly simple at all. What advice do you offer to those of us who are burned out and struggling with discouragement, or for whom the path of inexorable and glorious advancement from “won to Christ†to “lead pastor of a group of cells†is simply not realistic?
