Both individual and group evangelism are necessary. In individual evangelism, the tendency is to present the good news through words. No doubt this is an important resource to present Christ to others. Philip went to Samaria and spoke about Christ. But there is another way to present the gospel, and that is through the experiences that take place in Christian community. In the passage in Acts 2:44-47, where a description of the early Christians life in community is made, it is evident that people were attracted to Christian meetings precisely because they discovered unique behaviors and values among the believers. The passage speaks more of the people being attracted to Christians conduct rather than Christians inviting the people.
While throughout Christian history there have been great examples of both methods of evangelism, it is important to note the need for a balance between them. The personal testimony has to be balanced with the community testimony. Cells provide an excellent opportunity to testify through the body of believers living out their faith in the city. Cells are a biblical and effective resource to establish the necessary balance between the two evangelism methods.

Evangelización solitaria y comunitaria.

Lo que se encuentra a la base de la opción de evangelizar individualmente o en grupo es la manera de conceptualizar la evangelización. En la evangelización individual la tendencia es la presentación de la buenas nuevas por medio de palabras. Sin duda que este es un recurso importante para presentar a Cristo a otras personas. Felipe fue a Samaria y les hablaba acerca de Cristo.
Pero, hay otra manera de presentar el evangelio y es por medio de la vivencia que se produce en la comunidad cristiana. En el pasaje de Hechos 2:44-47, donde se hace una descripción de la vida en comunidad de los primeros cristianos, es evidente que las personas eran atradas a las reuniones cristianas precisamente porque descubran en los creyentes conductas y valores únicos. El pasaje habla más del pueblo atrado por la conducta de los cristianos antes que de cristianos invitando al pueblo.
Si bien a lo largo de la historia del cristianismo han existido grandes ejemplos de ambos métodos para la evangelización, es importante observar la necesidad de un equilibrio entre ellos. El dar testimonio a ttulo personal debe equilibrarse con el testimonio comunitario. Las células brindan una excelente oportunidad para dar testimonio por medio de los hechos de vida de los creyentes en toda la ciudad. Las células son un recurso bblico y efectivo para establecer el necesario equilibrio entre los dos métodos de evangelización.
