We want the Holy Spirit to minister to people through His gifts and gifted people during our cell meetings. Many cell leaders fall into the habit of waiting until the meeting is ready to close to encourage the exercise of those gifts, which produces the problem of a lengthened meeting that doesn’t close on time. It also produces a conflict: should the leader close on time or allow the Holy Spirit to freely move among members?
Here are two approaches that can settle the conflict and allow members to be released on time:
- Prompt more operation of the gifts throughout the meeting; the Holy Spirit already knows the needs, and He is well able to move inside the allotted time.
- As you open, advise the group that you are going to have extended ministry following the meeting. As the meeting wraps up, close the meeting formally, and then invite those who would care to stay for an extended ministry time. You can then have a short refreshment time, allowing those with other commitments to go home. After a few minutes of community and connecting, begin to invite the ministry recipients to join you back in the meeting area for prayer.
Note: I prefer #1. Why? Because even when #2 is handled well, some will not return to a meeting that extends too long. I suggest using option #1 and believe in faith that your preparation has made you ready to meet needs and guide the group successfully within the allotted time.

Queremos que el Espritu Santo ministre a la gente a través de sus dones y personas con talento durante nuestras reuniones celulares. Muchos lderes celulares caen en el hábito de esperar hasta que la reunión esté a punto de terminar para promover el ejercicio de los dones, que produce un problema porque extiende el tiempo de la reunión. También produce conflictos: ¿Debera el lder terminar a tiempo o dejar que el Espritu Santo se mueva libremente entre los miembros?
Aqu hay dos enfoques que pueden resolver el conflicto y permite que los miembros puedan ser liberados a tiempo:
Solicite más de los dones durante la reunión, el Espritu Santo ya conoce las necesidades, y él es muy capaz de moverse dentro del tiempo asignado.
Al empezar, avise al grupo que va a tener el ministerio prolongado después de la reunión. Cuando la reunión concluye, cierre la reunión formal, y luego invite a los que quieran quedarse por un tiempo prolongado. Luego, puedes tener un tiempo corto de refrigerios, permitiendo aquellos con otros compromisos para ir a casa. Después de unos minutos de la comunidad y conexión, comience a invitar a los destinatarios del ministerio para unirse de nuevo en la zona de encuentro en oración.
Nota: yo prefiero # 1. ¿Por qué? Porque incluso cuando se # 2 se maneja bien, algunos no regresan a la reunión que se prolonga demasiado tiempo. Yo sugiero utilizar la opción # 1 y cree en la fe de que la preparación que ha hecho usted este lista para satisfacer las necesidades y guiar al grupo con éxito en el tiempo asignado.
