Children are precious both to their Heavenly Father and to their earthly parents.
Jesus clearly revealed that he wanted children not to be ignored but to come to him (Mark 10:14). This means that children are not just the church of the future – they are also the church of the present. When the Lord looks upon his Church on earth today, he sees children as part of his Body. They are capable of coming to Jesus on their own level, and cell groups can be a way that happens.
Churches will both please God and reach parents when they include children in their cell strategy. Whether your church uses intergenerational cells or specialized children’s cells, including children in cell groups nurtures their faith and helps them see cells as a vital expression of Church so that they are accustomed to it later in life.
In our church, the groups which grow best are those who provide for the children in some form. And during the weekend worship services our children’s ministry includes both cell and celebration. From the earliest ages the children learn and experience the Kingdom in both expressions.
In the United States today, Parents go to great lengths to give their children every advantage they can. They will drive for hours to sporting events, spend money on music and dance, and even tutors to help their children learn.
When we invest in their children, the parents respond. More than one parent has come to Christ because they brought their child to the church and found Jesus themselves in the process.
Parents are always going to be the greatest spiritual influence on their children. But the church can partner with them. The world stands ready to shape the thoughts, dreams and passions of our children. Are we ready to counter that impact?

Los Niños – La Iglesia de hoy

Los niños son muy valiosos tanto para su Padre Celestial y para sus padres terrenales.
Jesús reveló claramente que quera que los niños no fueran ignorados para llegar a él (Marcos 10:14). Esto significa que los niños no son solo la iglesia del futuro – también son la iglesia del presente. Cuando el Señor mira a su iglesia en la tierra hoy en da, Él a los niños como parte de su Cuerpo. Ellos son capaces de llegar a Jesús en su propio nivel, y los grupos celulares pueden ser una manera para esto sea posible.
Las iglesias pueden agradar a Dios y alcanzar a los padres cuando incluyen a los niños en la estrategia celular. As sea que su iglesia utilice células intergeneracionales o células especiales para los niños, el incluir a los niños en los grupos celulares nutre su fe y les ayuda a ver las células como una expresión vital de la Iglesia y ellos se acostumbren a ella más tarde en la vida.
En nuestra iglesia, los grupos que crecen más son los que tienen presentes a los niños de alguna forma. Y durante los servicios dominicales de adoración el ministerio de nuestros niños incluye tanto la célula y la celebración. En los Estados Unidos hoy en da, los padres hacen todo lo posible para dar a sus hijos todas las ventajas que pueden. Ellos conducen durante horas para eventos deportivos, gastan dinero en música y danza, e incluso tutores para ayudar a sus hijos a aprender.
Cuando invertimos en nuestros hijos, los padres responden. Más de un padre ha llegado a Cristo porque ellos trajeron a sus hijos a la iglesia y encontraron a Jesús en el proceso.
Los padres siempre van a ser la mayor influencia espiritual para sus hijos. Pero la iglesia puede asociarse con ellos. El mundo está preparado para dar forma a los pensamientos, los sueños y las pasiones de nuestros hijos. ¿Estamos preparados para hacer frente a ese impacto?
