Inspired to Press Ahead

By Joel Comiskey, 2000 Years of Small Groups, 2022

As we near the end of 2022, we hope and pray that you have learned a lot from the JCG resources throughout the year–whether the monthly newsletter, daily blogs, articles, videos, or books. JCG has attempted to encourage, correct, and keep you focused. Whether you’re planting, transitioning, restarting, or preparing your own heart, we hope these resources have helped you.

Jesus gave us marching orders: make disciples who make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). His clear direction steers us from simply retaining Christians within the four walls of a building. He has called us to prepare the saints to do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12).

As we reflect on this past year, I thought the testimony of others would encourage you to take the next step in cell-based ministry. Paul said, “Rejoice with those who rejoice” (Romans 12:15). Testimonies inspire us onward. The writer of Hebrews reminded the believers to encourage each other continually in the journey (Hebrews 3-4; 10:24-25).

I receive many testimonies of those who have learned and applied the JCG blogs and resources to make disciples through multiplying small groups. I want to share a few of them with you. For the next two weeks of December, we’ll post testimonies from those who have applied the teachings of the JCG blogs and resources. Be sure to share these testimonies with others. Click here if you’d like to receive these daily blogs in your email inbox. We will only take two weeks in December:

  • December 04-10: JCG testimonies
  • December 11-16: JCG testimonies

We’ll take a month’s break and start blogging again on January 16.
