One area in which cell-based churches perform stronger than ministry-based churches is financial giving. Healthy cells inspire their members to have ownership in every area of the life of their group, including financial challenges.
Several years ago, a member of one of our cells in our church in Cairo died suddenly from a heart attack. The group was made up of African refugees. Without any assistance from anyone outside the group, they contacted the deceased relatives in Africa and received instructions regarding the body of their friend.
The members then pooled in their money and arranged for the body of their friend to be transported by air back to his home country. The group then invited local friends of the deceased to gather together for a memorial service, followed by modest refreshments.
This amazing challenge took place without the knowledge and assistance of the executive pastors of the church. They did this because of their love for their deceased friend and because they “owned” the challenge.

Un área en la que las iglesias-células realizan su más fuerte ministerio que las iglesias ministeriales es en las ofrendas. Las células sanas inspiran a sus miembros a tener la propiedad en todas las áreas de la vida de su grupo, incluyendo los problemas financieros.
Hace varios años, un miembro de una de nuestras células en nuestra iglesia en El Cairo, murió repentinamente de un ataque al corazón. El grupo estaba formado por los refugiados de Ãfrica. Sin ayuda de nadie fuera del grupo, se estableció contacto con los familiares del fallecidos en Ãfrica y se recibieron instrucciones sobre el cuerpo de su amigo.
