When we speak of burn-out, the first thing that comes to our mind is “no more fuel.†In order to produce anything, there is the need for fuel. Engines run on fuel. Our bodies run on fuel. Our souls runs on fuel. Our spirits runs on fuel. There always is a need of a reservoir or tank to store sufficient fuel to keep things running. Every engine has a natural consumption of fuel. Constant refueling is necessary. While the consumption of fuel is natural and normal, it also must be continually monitored to find and repair any leaks. Leaks can rapidly empty any reservoir, demanding constant refueling. If natural consumption and leaks are greater than the refueling, the tank will dry out and the engine will stop.
Leadership burn-out follows the same process. It is very important for leaders to receive constant support and help from their coaches. Their “tanks†have to be refueled in different ways. Love and care from the coach, support by the cell living in true community, the one another life style, daily devotions, prayer, continuous vision confirmation, etc…
Some “leaks†that rob energy from leaders are dysfunctional people in the cell, consumers, antagonists, and vacuum cleaner or Dracula members who drain and suck all the blood of the leader. The best octane to fuel leaders is a correct vision of cell life as the body of Christ, with members that care for one another, and relate to each other in a nonjudgmental and loving relationship.
Correct vision leaks very fast. TV preachers and hundreds of books point in the opposite direction. This is why we have to refuel, reaffirm, and repeat it in every encounter with our leaders, be it formal or informal. The Biblical view of the cell as the church, as already explained, is not popular in this time of consumer based program churches. We are swimming up river, against the common trend. That is why we have to restate and reaffirm the vision constantly. When the vision is gone, the dead will resurrect. The old concept of church with all its gadgets, tricks and programs, comes back.
Those who lose the vision for the future will always revert back to the past for survival. I heard Dion Robert about fifteen years ago saying “Vision plus vision, equals divisionâ€

Agotamiento.

Cuando hablamos del agotamiento, lo primero que viene a nuestra mente es “no hay más combustible”. Para poder producir cualquier cosa, existe la necesidad de combustible. Los motores funcionan con combustible. Nuestros cuerpos funcionan con combustible. Nuestras almas funcionan con combustible. Nuestros espritus funcionan con combustible. Siempre hay una necesidad de un depósito o tanque para almacenar suficiente combustible para mantener las cosas en marcha. Cada motor tiene un consumo natural de combustible. Re-abastecer combustible es necesario. Mientras que el consumo de combustible es normal y natural, también debe ser continuamente monitoreado para encontrar y reparar cualquier fuga. Las fugas pueden rápidamente vaciar el depósito, exigiendo constante re-abastecimiento. Si el consumo natural y las fugas son mayores que el re-abastecimiento de combustible, el tanque se secará y el motor se detendrá.
El agotamiento en el liderazgo sigue el mismo proceso. Es muy importante que los lderes reciban apoyo constante y la ayuda de sus entrenadores. Sus “tanques” tienen que ser re-abastecidos de combustible de diferentes maneras. El amor y el cuidado del entrenador, apoyado por la célula en una verdadera comunidad, el estilo de vida, devociones diarias, la oración, la confirmación de la visión continua, etc…
Algunas “filtraciones” que roban la energa de los lderes son las personas disfuncionales en la célula, los consumidores, los antagonistas, y aspiradora o miembros Drácula que drenan y chupan toda la sangre del lder. La mejor octanaje de combustible a los lderes es una visión correcta de la vida de la célula en el cuerpo de Cristo, con los miembros que se preocupan los unos a los otros, y se relacionan entre s en una relación de amor y sin prejuicios.
Corrija las fugas de la visión rápidamente. Los predicadores de TV y cientos de libros apuntan en la dirección opuesta. Por eso tenemos que re-abastecer reafirmar, y repetirlo en cada encuentro con nuestros lderes, ya sea formal o informal. El punto de vista bblico de la célula como iglesia, como ya se explicó, no es muy popular en esta época de consumo basado ​​en programas de iglesias. Estamos nadando ro arriba, contra la tendencia común. Es por eso que tenemos que repetir y reafirmar la visión constantemente. Cuando la visión se ha ido, los muertos resucitarán. El viejo concepto de la iglesia con todos sus aparatos, trucos y programas, regresa.
Los que pierden la visión para el futuro siempre volverán al pasado para sobrevivir. O a Robert Dion hace unos quince años diciendo “Visión mas visión, es igual a división”
