Participating in a cell group encourages openness and honesty. At first this is difficult for many of us because we are unsure if the others will be caring. We also wonder if they actually have the spiritual and emotional resources to respond to our particular needs or rejoice in our successes. Once we observe others sharing their needs and then being given a loving and Christ-like response, transparency becomes much more approachable. The discipleship and spiritual growth of regular members in a loving cell group makes it easier for the newest attendee to participate safely.
When the opportunity to share in your cell or request prayer, I admonish you to talk about the person ‘in’ the room; you. Do not hide behind sharing the needs of others that are ‘outside’ the room. Help others toward this same admonition so that ministry and growth can take place in the lives present. There will be a time for reaching out to the needs of those who have not found their way to Christ though your friendship. Those who have been strengthened by open and honest sharing, combined with sincere ministry within the cell group, will gladly pass invitations to others.
Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. (Acts 20:28)

Sea abierto y honesto

El participar en un grupo celular ánima a ser abierto y a la honestidad. Al principio esto es difcil para muchos de nosotros, porque no estamos seguros si los demás le importaran. También nos preguntamos si en realidad tienen los recursos para responder a nuestra necesidad particular o regocijarnos en nuestro éxito. Una vez que observamos a otros compartiendo sus necesidades y luego de haber recibido una respuesta de amor en Cristo, la transparencia se hace más accesible. El discipulado y el crecimiento espiritual de los miembros en un grupo de células amorosas, lo hace más fácil para el nuevo asistente a participar de manera segura.
Cuando existe la oportunidad de compartir en tu célula o pedir una petición de oración, les pido que hablen acerca de la persona “en” la habitación, Tu. No te escondas en el compartir las necesidades de los otros que están “fuera” de la habitación. Ayuda a los demás hacia esa misma advertencia para que el ministerio y el crecimiento puedan tener un lugar en la vida presente. Habrá un tiempo para alcanzar las necesidades de aquellos que no han encontrado su camino a Cristo, por medio de tu amistad. Aquellos que se han fortalecido mediante el intercambio abierto y honesto, en combinación con el ministerio sincero dentro del grupo celular, para pasar las invitaciones a los demás con gusto.
Por tanto, mirad por vosotros y por todo el rebaño en que el Espritu Santo os ha puesto por obispos, para apacentar la iglesia del Señor, la cual él ganó por su propia sangre. (Hechos 20:28)
