When speaking with churches and pastors about transitioning to a cell-based ministry, I like to share with them the good news that finances will not be their obstacle.
Most other ministry models come with significant price tags for equipment, new staff, facilities or other needs. To start cell ministry all the leader needs to do is pray and invite the first group members. (Though buying and reading as many good cell church books as possible is wise!). One doesn’t even need to buy curriculum if basing the Word portion on the weekend message.
However, the time comes that cell ministry grows and must become part of the budget of the church. Two of the main expenses are:
* Staff: this is our number one budget category. This as it should be, since it is the staff who catalyze the ministry. When leaders are effective at raising up other leaders and coaching them effectively, they have demonstrated that they can earn their salary and hiring them is not as risky.
* Training: this includes the Equipping classes, monthly trainings, Annual leader retreat and recognition. Money spent here is a necessary and wise investment.

LA FINANCIACIÓN DEL MINISTERIO CELULAR.
Al hablar con las iglesias y los pastores acerca de la transición a un ministerio basado en células, me gusta compartir con ellos la buena noticia de que las finanzas no será su obstáculo. La mayora de los modelos de otros ministerios vienen con etiquetas de precio importantes para el equipo, nuevo personal, instalaciones u otras necesidades. Para iniciar el ministerio celular todo lder lo tiene que hacer es orar e invitar a los miembros del primer grupo. (Comprando y leyendo muchos buenos libros de células iglesia es sabio!). Uno no necesita comprar un estudio, si la porción Palabra es basada en el mensaje del fin de semana.
Sin embargo, llega el momento de que el ministerio celular crece y debe convertirse en parte del presupuesto de la iglesia. Dos de los principales gastos son los siguientes:
* Personal: esta es nuestra primera categora de presupuesto. Esto como debe ser, ya que es el personal que catalizan el ministerio. Cuando los lderes son efectivos para levantar a otros lderes y entrenando con eficacia, ya han demostrado que puede ganar su salario y su contratación no es tan arriesgada.
* Capacitación: incluye las clases de Equipamiento, capacitación mensual, un retiro anual de lder y el reconocimiento. El dinero gastado aqu es una inversión necesaria y prudente.
