Meet Financial Obligation through Cells

There is no doubt that cell offerings are very important to the finances of the church. In our church, when we had the opportunity to purchase the last available TV frequency of national coverage in El Salvador, we took out a big bank loan. We didn’t want to miss this opportunity. The monthly fee involved a rather high financial burden on the church. On top of this, one year later, the opportunity to buy 14 hectares of land came up. The price was a real offer, but the church had already reached its debt limit. What were we going to do? .

We decided to mobilize our cell leaders. We split the monthly payment among the cell leaders, which meant that each cell would need to contribute $2.00 per week to meet our financial obligations. Each cell has an average of nine members, so this meant that each member needed to be responsible for 25 cents. If each cell member contributed 25 cents we would be able to complete the payment on our loan.

It has now been five years of paying on our loan, and we have already paid off more than half of it. . I believe that with each leader´s exerted effort, we will finish the payment without much difficulty. Such things would not have been possible without a financial commitment of each cell.
