Sometimes we misunderstand what rest means. People think it means doing nothing. This is wrong. Experts say that rest involves doing something different than what we do normally. Church leaders deal with people all the time. During times of rest, it’s refreshing to focus on those things that have been put aside. For example, during the holiday season, leaders can catch up on hobbies, reading, or special projects. Doing these things will refresh mind and body.
For those who have family, special rest days are a time to spend time with wife and children. You might plan picnics, watch a movie, or go to the beach. Some time alone in quietness, is also very important. Ask God to help you to find the right way to rest and the time you should spend.
Also, pastor, remember to encourage your leaders to rest.

Anima a tus Lderes a tomar un descanso

A veces no entendemos lo que significa descansar. La gente piensa que significa no hacer nada. Esto está mal. Los expertos dicen que el descanso implica hacer algo diferente a lo que hacemos normalmente. Los Lderes de la Iglesia tratan con gente todo el tiempo. Hay cosas que por lo general no tienen tiempo para hacer durante las horas normales de trabajo. Durante la temporada de vacaciones se pueden poner al da con los pasatiempos, por ejemplo. Esto puede refrescar nuestra mente y cuerpo.
Para aquellos que tienen familia, es un tiempo para pasar tiempo con su esposa e hijos. Es posible planificar las comidas campestres, ver una pelcula o ir a la playa. Un tiempo a solas en silencio, es también muy importante. Pdale a Dios que le ayude a encontrar el camino correcto para el descanso y el tiempo que puede usar.
Además, pastor, recuerde animar a sus lderes a tomar un descanso.
