We serve the Lord, Christ!

The greatest motivation for disciples of Jesus may be the hope of hearing, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ Matthew 25:21

I understand that what we do to honor, acknowledge and reward leaders, coaches and those who serve the cell vision, is quite temporary but necessary.  Everyone on the team wants to know they are valued by the others and that their contribution is important for the successful completion of the group’s mission.  When we take time and resources to bless those who are faithful to the Lord and His work, we are modeling what is coming later, from HIM!

Consider these brief descriptions of the Greek words in Matthew 25:21:

• Well done: implies a trust, an obligation, an agreement to work, a mission, a calling or a place of service that was accomplished well.
• Good: applied to persons, it signifies the excellence of the person in his existing position.
• Faithful: reliable, trustworthy, lasting.  Inasmuch as trust may be a duty, ‘faithful’ can come to have the nuance “obedient.”
• Servant: one who is subservient to a Master, a slave.

Colossians 3:23-24  ”Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.  Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.”

Philippians 3:13-14  “No, dear brothers and sisters, I (we) have not achieved it, but I (we) focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,  I (we) press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”

¡Servimos al Señor, Cristo!

La mayor motivación para los discpulos de Jesús puede ser la esperanza de escuchar: “Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré; entra en el gozo de tu señor. “Mateo 25:21

Entiendo que lo que hacemos para honrar, reconocer y premiar a los lderes, entrenadores y aquellos que sirven a la visión celular, es muy temporal, pero necesario. Todos en el equipo quieren saber que son valorados por los demás y que su contribución es importante para el buen fin de la misión del grupo. Cuando nos tomamos el tiempo y los recursos para bendecir a los que son fieles al Señor ya Su obra, ¡estamos modelando lo que viene después, de él!

Tenga en cuenta estas breves descripciones de las palabras griegas en Mateo 25:21:

• Bien hecho: implica confianza, obligación, un acuerdo de trabajo, una misión, una vocación o un lugar de servicio que se llevó a cabo bien.

• Bueno: se aplica a las personas, significa la excelencia de la persona en su posición actual.

• Fiel: fiable, confiable y duradero. En la medida en que la confianza puede ser un deber, ‘fiel’ puede llegar a tener el matiz “obediente”.

• Servidor: uno que está al servicio de un Maestro, un esclavo.

Colosenses 3:23-24 “Y todo lo que hagáis, hacedlo de corazón, como para el Señor y no para los hombres; sabiendo que del Señor recibiréis la recompensa de la herencia, porque a Cristo el Señor servs. ”

Filipenses 3:13-14 “Hermanos, yo mismo no pretendo haberlo ya alcanzado; pero una cosa hago: olvidando ciertamente lo que queda atrás, y extendiéndome a lo que está delante,

prosigo a la meta, al premio del supremo llamamiento de Dios en Cristo Jesús”.
