At the Elim Church, the main way cells evangelize is through acts of love and kindness. People believe when they see love in action, rather than mere words. It’s much easier to talk about the gospel than to live it every day. That is why it takes conscious, persistent effort to evangelize others because it means that they will see love in action rather than just hear about the gospel. At the same time, loving people into the kingdom should never be a burden–it should be a lifestyle.
When we walk in love, it does not require an extraordinary effort. We are free just to be ourselves and live a life of love. If our actions are governed by the rule of love, our life will be a constant testimony to those who do not know Jesus. Attracted by that sweet savor of Christ, the unbeliever will eventually believe the gospel message.
Love leads us to walk the extra mile. I’m referring to that extra act of love and care that causes the unbeliever to believe in Jesus. There is no better way to evangelize in the cell than to focus on Christian acts of kindness, rather than mere words. As this becomes the lifestyle of everyone in the cell, many will come to know Jesus.

El Trabajo Que No Debe Ser Trabajo

El principal trabajo que se hace en el modelo celular al evangelizar es el desarrollar obras de amor. Las personas creen más por las obras que por las palabras. Es mucho más fácil hablar del evangelio que vivirlo cada da. Por ello es que evangelizar con los hechos requiere un esfuerzo constante.
No obstante, el evangelizar con las obras de amor se vuelve mucho más liviano cuando se convierte en un estilo de vida. Cuando andamos en amor ya no se requiere un esfuerzo extraordinario. Solamente se debe vivir.
Si nuestras acciones se rigen por la regla del amor, nuestra vida será un constante testimonio hacia aquellos que todava no conocen a Jesús. Ellos, atrados por esa particularidad del cristiano, terminarán por creer.
El amor nos conduce a caminar una milla más. La milla extra que nadie hace por iniciativa propia. Pero que los cristianos la caminan motivados por el amor. Esa milla extra es la que establece la diferencia y lleva a muchos a salvación. No hay mejor manera de trabajar en el evangelismo celular que llevando una vida cristiana de hechos y no de palabras. A la larga, esto debera dejar de ser un trabajo para convertirse en la vida misma.
