Priesthood of All Believers

Lets stop for a moment and consider the theme this month:

“The Priesthood of all believers:  the doctrine that each member of the body of Christ is a priest of God and should be actively participating in the body of Christ. All believers are kings and priests in the kingdom. But who are all believers? Those who have accepted the sacrifice that Jesus made and are living in the increasing revelation of the Lordship of Jesus.

So all believers can be adults, teens, or children who have taken this step.  This is generally accepted in the body of Christ, but what is not accepted is that adults, teens and children should be actively participating in the body of Christ and using their God-given gifts.  Too often our structures and systems lead us to an educational system where a teacher teaches adults, children and teens.

My heart cry this month is that as you read the terms all believers, everyone, body of Christ, each member, church, cell members, etc., that you will remind yourself over and over that these terms apply to every generation. When I ask people where children are mentioned in the Bible, they repeatedly recount baby Moses, David on the hills, Samuel in the temple, etc. However, they rarely talk about children when seeing the words, the whole community, or when seeing the phrases such as Israeliltes, or Church. Yet we need to remember that these phrases include children and teenagers.

So in thinking about the mobilizing of all believers I would like to remind us of the basic foundational values of the cell:

• All (adults youth and children) are ministers
• All (adults youth and children) are called to win others
• All (adults youth and children) are called to serve
• All (adults youth and children) make cell the priority
• All (adults youth and children) are empowered for service
• All (adults youth and children) participate fully
• All (adults youth and children) are receivers and givers
• All (adults youth and children) are hearers and doers

This is the kingdom ­ this is God’s army. This is family!
The Priesthood of all believers means that everyone is mobilized!

Sacerdocio de Todos Los Creyentes.

Vamos a detenernos por un momento y considerar el tema de este mes:

“El sacerdocio de todos los creyentes: la doctrina de que cada miembro del cuerpo de Cristo es un sacerdote de Dios y debera participar activamente en la cuerpo de Cristo ”

Todos los creyentes son “reyes y sacerdotes” en el reino, pero ¿Quiénes son “todos los creyentes”? Todos los que han aceptado el sacrificio que Jesús hizo y están viviendo la revelación creciente que tiene el Señoro de Jesús en sus vidas.

As que “todos los creyentes” pueden ser adultos, adolescentes o niños que han tomado este paso. Esto es generalmente aceptado en el cuerpo de Cristo, lo que no es aceptado, como consecuencia directa es que “los adultos, adolescentes y niños” deben de participar activamente en el cuerpo de Cristo y usar los dones que Dios les ha dado. Con frecuencia, las estructuras y los sistemas nos conducen a un sistema de educación donde un profesor, en lugar de ser movilizado por el reino de “padres”, enseña a los adultos, niños y adolescentes.

El lloro de mi corazón en este mes es que al leer los términos “todos los creyentes”, “Todo el mundo”, “cuerpo de Cristo”, “cada miembro”, “iglesia”, “miembros de la célula”, etc., usted recuerde una y otra vez que esto se aplica a todas las generaciones. Cuando le pregunto a la gente, dónde los niños son mencionados en la Biblia varias veces ellos me dicen el bebé Moisés, David, en las colinas, Samuel en el templo, etc., pero nunca alguien me ha dado un ejemplo donde las palabras “toda la comunidad” “Israelitas”, “iglesia”, etc., se mencionan. Sin embargo, dentro de esos estaban los niños y adolescentes.

As que al pensar en la movilización de todos los creyentes me gustara recordarles los valores fundacionales básicos de la célula:

• Todos (adultos, jóvenes y niños) son ministros.
• Todos (adultos, jóvenes y niños) son llamados a ganar a otros .
• Todos (adultos, jóvenes y niños) son llamados a servir .
• Todos (adultos, jóvenes y niños) tienen la célula como una prioridad.
• Todos (adultos, jóvenes y niños) están facultados para el servicio .
• Todos (adultos, jóvenes y niños) participan plenamente .
• Todos (adultos, jóvenes y niños) son receptores y donantes .
• Todos (adultos, jóvenes y niños) son oidores y hacedores.

Éste es el reino, es el ejército de Dios, es la familia.
El sacerdocio de todos los creyentes, todos se movilizan.
