This statement raised a lot of discussion at the beginning of the cell movement here in Brazil. Churches had many small groups and different laudable goals, but they were never as important as the main Sunday service. The small groups were only a part of the many programs the church had to achieve its primary goal.
Dr Ralph Neighbor first spread the statement that the cell is the church.
We have clear evidence in the New Testament and throughout Church History to confirm this statement.
Most Pastoral care is done naturally through mutual care and accountability in the cell. There is natural and relational care between prayer and discipleship partners.
Another fact is that the cell is the BEST PLACE for the manifestation and use of the Spiritual Gifts by ALL members for the edification of everyone.
Christ’s presence in the cell guarantees this.
The cell is not a simple small group. The church can have many different ministry small groups. Still, all members involved in various ministries MUST be part of a cell for mutual pastoral care, manifestation of their spiritual gifts, and building up each other’s faith.
Jesu’s Presence, Power, and Purpose in the cell guarantee this dynamic and give it the same status as the Sunday main service, which the Pastor leads.

A Célula é a Igreja

Essa afirmação levantou muita discussão no início do movimento celular aqui no Brasil. As igrejas tinham muitos grupos pequenos e diferentes objetivos louváveis, mas nunca foram tão importantes quanto o principal culto dominical. Os pequenos grupos eram apenas uma parte dos muitos programas que a igreja tinha para atingir o seu objetivo principal.
O Dr. Ralph Neighbor foi o primeiro que espalhou a afirmação de que a célula é a igreja.
Temos evidências claras no Novo Testamento e em toda a História da Igreja para confirmar esta afirmação.
A maior parte do cuidado pastoral é feito naturalmente através do cuidado mútuo e da responsabilidade na célula. Existe um cuidado natural e relacional entre parceiros de oração e discipulado.
Outro fato é que a célula é o MELHOR LUGAR para manifestação e utilização dos Dons Espirituais por TODOS os membros para a edificação de todos.
A presença de Cristo na célula garante isso.
A célula não é um simples pequeno grupo. A igreja pode ter muitos pequenos grupos ministeriais diferentes. Ainda assim, todos os membros envolvidos em diferentes ministérios DEVEM fazer parte de uma célula para cuidado pastoral mútuo, manifestação dos seus dons espirituais e edificação da fé uns dos outros.
A Presença, o Poder e o Propósito de Jesus na célula garantem esta dinâmica e conferem-lhe o mesmo status do culto principal dominical, liderado pelo Pastor.

Esta afirmación suscitó muchas discusiones al principio del movimiento celular aquí en Brasil. Las iglesias tenían muchos grupos pequeños y diferentes metas loables, pero nunca fueron tan importantes como el servicio principal del domingo. Los grupos pequeños eran sólo una parte de los muchos programas que la iglesia tenía para alcanzar su objetivo principal.
El Dr. Ralph Neighbor difundió por primera vez la afirmación de que la célula es la iglesia.
Tenemos evidencia clara en el Nuevo Testamento y a través de la Historia de la Iglesia para confirmar esta declaración.
La mayor parte del cuidado pastoral se hace naturalmente a través del cuidado mutuo y la responsabilidad en la célula. Hay un cuidado natural y relacional entre los compañeros de oración y discipulado.
Otro hecho es que la célula es el MEJOR LUGAR para la manifestación y uso de los Dones Espirituales por TODOS los miembros para la edificación de todos.

La Presencia, el Poder y el Propósito de Jesús en la célula garantizan esta dinámica y le dan el mismo estatus que el servicio principal del domingo, que dirige el Pastor.
